Two Problems, One Attachment

Why Crusher Sites Need On-Demand Water Deployment

Operating a jaw crusher generates silica-containing dust at the jaw discharge and along the conveyor. Operating a screening plant generates dust across three fractions. Both are OSHA-regulated silica exposure points at construction sites. Water suppression directly at the source is the primary engineering control — and the one most frequently managed with a water truck parked at the wrong location or not positioned for the shift change.
The second problem is what happens to the equipment overnight. Concrete fines, limestone dust, and masonry residue settle on jaw plates, screen media, and conveyor frames during each shift. Left in place, these materials harden on metal surfaces — especially materials with cement content. End-of-shift washing removes them before they bond. The LandBx does both from the same machine, the same tank, at the same site.

Dust Suppression at the Crusher Face

The LandBx mounts to your skid steer and positions directly at the jaw discharge zone — the primary silica dust generation point on a crusher circuit. Precision nozzle deployment suppresses dust at the source before it becomes airborne.
• 5–250 GPM flow range — dial in the suppression level
• No water truck to position and reposition
• OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1153 engineering control
• Works on jaw discharge, screen discharge, and conveyor transfer points

End-of-Shift Equipment Washing

Concrete fines, mortar residue, and limestone dust bond to jaw plates, screen media, and conveyor rollers when left overnight. The LandBx delivers high-volume wash water to clear buildup before it sets — extending wear part life between replacements.

• Clear jaw plate fines before they harden
• Wash screen media decks at end of shift
• Clean conveyor frames and transfer chutes
• Limestone fines and masonry mortar — especially critical to clear before they cement
OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1153 — Silica Dust at Construction Sites
Jaw crusher operations at construction sites fall under OSHA’s silica standard. The standard requires engineering controls — including wet suppression — to reduce silica dust exposure at the point of generation. The LandBx delivers water suppression directly at the crusher jaw and conveyor transfer points. Consult a qualified industrial hygienist to confirm your specific suppression configuration meets the standard for your operation and material type.

Parts in Stock. Engineers on Call. No Overseas Wait.

Every machine we sell is backed by US-stocked parts out of our Smyrna, Georgia facility. Not a backorder form. Not a six-week lead time from a factory in another country. When something needs replacing, we ship it.
Beyond parts, you get direct access to engineers who know these machines — not a call center reading from a manual. If you have a question about the LandBx setup, the dust suppression positioning for your crusher circuit, or integration with your CT-series jaw crusher, you talk to someone who has stood next to the equipment.

FAQ

Common Questions About the LandBx

Does the LandBx require a separate engine to run the pump?

OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1153 requires dust controls for silica-generating operations at construction sites. Water suppression at the point of dust generation is an accepted engineering control under this standard. The LandBx delivers precision water suppression directly at the crusher jaw discharge — the primary dust generation point. Whether a specific LandBx configuration satisfies 1926.1153 for your operation depends on flow rate, application method, and air monitoring results. Consult a qualified industrial hygienist to verify compliance for your specific setup.

The T3, T4, and T5 designations refer to tank capacity: the T3 holds 300 gallons, the T4 holds 405 gallons, and the T5 holds 500 gallons. All three models use the same submerged hydraulic pump system and accept the same add-ons. The T5 is recommended for host machines weighing 11,500 lbs or more due to the added weight of a full 500-gallon tank. The T3 at 300 gallons is the most common choice for job-site crusher operations where the skid steer is mid-frame or smaller.

Yes. The LandBx is designed to haul and deploy water, hydro-mulch, erosion control tackifiers, foam, and dust suppression solutions. The recirculating agitation system prevents seed and mulch slurries from settling. On crusher sites, the primary use case is dust suppression and equipment washing, but the same machine handles hydroseeding and erosion control on adjacent areas of the same site without modification.
Concrete fines, limestone dust, and masonry residue accumulate on jaw plates, screen media, conveyor frames, and rollers during operations. These materials can set or harden on metal surfaces if left overnight, especially when the fines contain cement content. Hardened buildup accelerates wear on jaw plates and screen media and increases cleaning labor at the start of the next shift. End-of-shift washing with the LandBx removes fines before they bond, extending wear part life and reducing daily setup time.

The LandBx T3 weighs approximately 850 lbs empty and approximately 3,300 to 3,500 lbs when full, depending on whether a dozer blade is attached. Most mid-frame skid steers and CTLs with a rated operating capacity of 2,000 lbs or more handle the T3 when partially filled. For a full 300-gallon load, a large-frame skid steer or CTL is recommended. Contact us with your host machine model and we will confirm compatibility before you configure.

The LandBx and FuelBx are both quick-attach skid steer attachments, so they share the same carrier machine on a job site. They cannot be mounted simultaneously, but the same skid steer can switch between them using the quick-attach plate. On a circuit where both dust suppression and on-site fueling are needed, a single skid steer operates both attachments at different times during the shift.

The LandBx is designed for water, hydro-mulch, erosion control tackifiers, foam, and water-soluble dust suppression solutions. It includes recirculating agitation for slurry applications. Do not use the LandBx for diesel fuel, chemicals incompatible with the tank material, or fluids outside the manufacturer’s approved use parameters.
